1. Who qualifies

  • Students aged 18+ who live and study at a college in the US, verified through SheerID.
  • A personal Google Account (@gmail.com), not a school, work or supervised account.
  • Your Google Play / Payments country must match where you live and study.
  • Family-group members and people with memberships via third parties (including Google Fi or Pixel) are excluded.
  • Per the Google blog, students in some countries outside the US can get 1 year of Google AI Plus free; check your local claim page.

Guide at a glance

2. What's included

Google AI Pro brings higher Gemini limits plus the newer Gemini features and large cloud storage listed on Google's student page. See gemini.google/students for current details.

3. How to claim

  1. Sign in with a personal Gmail account and complete age verification at myaccount.google.com/age-verification.
  2. Open one.google.com/ai-student.
  3. Start the claim; on SheerID enter your school, name and date of birth. The birth date must match your Google Account.
  4. Upload proof of enrolment if asked. Review takes minutes to days, and attempts are limited.
  5. Back on Google, add a payment method and confirm.

Only claim if you genuinely qualify. False documents break Google's and SheerID's terms and can lead to the offer being revoked or account restrictions. After the free period it renews at $19.99/month unless you cancel in Google One. Eligibility is re-verified yearly.
